make trax success story

Make Trax student R started with us in January this year. Having left secondary school in year 9, R had not been in an educational setting for four years, and had only left the house twice in one year before joining us.

R worked with their Make Trax project worker for one month in Bognor, building soft skills such as confidence, resilience and communication on a weekly one-to-one basis.

From here, R was able to join an OnTrack class for one hour. R felt comfortable enough in the class to return the following week, and now attends full time across Monday and Tuesday and is due to sit their level one exams next week. From one-to-one’s to exams in five months is an incredible achievement!

Do you know a young person aged 16-18 who faces barriers to learning? Our Make Trax project can support and engage them at their own pace and help them overcome their barriers and make progress.

This project is funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund.
