For three days in the February half term, SAFE West Sussex delivered a diverse and fun-filled programme for 16-18 year olds.
Day 1: Trip to Brighton
For our first day we took a trip to Brighton, including a walk around The Laines, pictures in the Pavilion Gardens, chips at the pier and a walk on the beach. For most of the day, the sun held out and we were able to have some good conversations with our young people, helping them to explore the local community. One young person said:
"I like Brighton because it is a big city and I am from a very small place. All of the shops and the sun on my face reminds me of Africa."
Day 2: Peak Boxing
On the second day, we took our young people to Peak Boxing, Worthing. Our young people tried boxing, exercise routines and really enjoyed getting active.
Day 3: Art and Pizza Party!
On the last day, we hosted a pizza party after decorating tote bags. Our young people really enjoyed this creative task and made some items they can use.
