Investing a little extra time in their studies paid dividends for further education students at the asphaleia learning centre in Worthing during this past summer.
ESOL students on our OnTrack ESOL course attended the 2023 Summer Study Programme for four weeks. This enabled some students to complete entry level qualifications in English or maths. Students at the beginner stage of English learning were able to gain much-needed English practice at their own level.
While study was the main focus of the 2023 summer programme, there were some opportunities to visit local facilities, such as the beach or Worthing Library, which enabled students to practice English speaking and listening skills in natural settings.
asphaleia's ESOL provision runs all year round for 16+ students and supports students at all levels of English, including those who are complete beginners.
