Between 12th April - 12th May, many of our ESOL students are fasting for Ramadan. Muslims celebrate Ramadan to remember the month that their holy book, the Qu’arn, was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.
Fasting allows Muslims to practice self-discipline and to focus on their faith. At our Training Centre, some of our young people have created some lovely art for our Ramadan display, celebrating this important time for our Muslim students.
We would like to take the time to celebrate the young people who are still coming in for their English lessons and working hard, despite their fasting. They are showing great strength and dedication to their studies.
All of us at asphaleia are very proud and impressed at the hard work they are doing whilst they are hungry and tired.
