On the 18th of June, education providers across the UK celebrated Thank a Teacher Day. National Thank a Teacher Day is an annual celebration of teachers and support staff across early years settings, schools and colleges.

Today is Thank A Teacher Day – and there are just so many things for which I want to thank you. Thank you for showing up every day with enthusiasm and care. Thank you for the moments of inspiration you create in your classrooms, corridors, and playgrounds. Thank you for the steady support and guidance that help your students find their way.

At asphaleia, we sent a thank you email to each tutor individually to express our gratitude for the work they do and the impact they have on young people's lives.

We also created a display board where students could write a message of thanks to their tutor/s.

Several of the students who wrote messages expressed how their tutors did more than just impart knowledge, as one student said,

'Thank you for being more than a teacher, for inspiring me, guiding me, and believing in me. Your kindness and wisdom have left a mark on my heart that I will carry forever.'
