Showbiz glamour and skilled tap-dancing entertained asphaleia training’s summer study programme students on an August visit to the musical 'Top Hat'. A group of 18 international students and three tutors enjoyed the Irving Berlin show at Chichester Festival Theatre (CFT). A huge “Thank you” goes to generous benefactors the Drapers, who funded the show tickets and coach travel, and to CFT’s Drama Workshop team for hosting the visit.

Students on asphaleia’s summer study programme were also treated to an interval ice cream and a show programme. For many, it was their first experience of live theatre, which left them smiling and buzzing. The CFT youth team has a long association with asphaleia, providing highly engaging weekly Drama Workshops during term time. These workshops help students to build their personal confidence, team-working skills and English communication skills.
