student success from our ontrack programme

asphaleia training provides further education for 16-24 year-olds who are not currently working or studying. Our aim is to equip students with the qualifications and employability skills they need to progress into jobs, apprenticeships, or other educational settings.

a student's success story

N joined asphaleia back in July 2021 after leaving school and being home-schooled for several years. N was suffering from social anxiety when she joined asphaleia. Since joining our further education provision, N has achieved her level 1 qualifications in maths, English and employability and has recently sat her level 2 exams.

N has also become a key member of her group, supporting others and helping them with their studies over the last couple of months. She has played a major role in them being ready for their exams and improving confidence.

Further to this, N has been involved in several young person panels to help interview both care staff and tutors within the asphaleia training team. N has in addition signed up to become a volunteer reader at Worthing Library for the summer months, something that prior to joining asphaleia she would have struggled to do.

Well done N!
